Oak Grove High School’s annual Veterans Breakfast set for Thursday

OAK GROVE, Miss. (WDAM) - For nearly three decades, Oak Grove High School (OGHS) has kept its tradition of honoring veterans alive.

Thursday, OGHS will host its 29th annual Veterans Breakfast.

All veterans are welcome to enjoy a free meal.

This event is in preparation for Veterans Day.

Leaders say the event allows students to connect with community members who have served our country.

“It is an opportunity for the school to connect with the community, with the veterans who are in our community, who we are just so excited to be able to celebrate,” OGHS Principal Brandi Twillie said. “We invite them over to Temple Baptist Church, we serve them breakfast, we have a full program.

But it is, it’s just an amazing time for us to be able to make that connection and show our appreciation to the veterans who have served us so well.”

Breakfast is at 7 a.m. at Temple Baptist Church.
