Expect passing clouds with a few showers passing through the area afternoon and evening. Temperatures will hover in the 70s through the rest of the day. Eventually, temperatures will fall into the 60s overnight. Tropical Storm Beta will be the main factor in our weather in the coming days. Tuesday will be another mild day with highs in the 70s and passing showers and storms. Heavy rain will be possible at times. Localized flooding in backyards and back roads may be possible, too, but widespread flooding isn’t as much of a concern given how dry the area has been this summer. The chance for rain will be between 30% to the northeast and 60% to the southwest. Wednesday, more rain from Beta will be possible. The chance for rain will be around 60% across the whole area. Highs will be a bit warmer, around 80, with more of a southeast wind. Thursday and Friday, highs will rebound into the 80s as a southerly flow off the Gulf takes over. There will still be a decent shot for showers with Beta passing through. The chance for rain will still be between 40% and 60%. This weekend, Beta moves out and drier weather moves in. There will still be the chance for a few showers in the wake of Beta, but not nearly as high as during the week. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.
