FRANKLIN COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Day six of the manslaughter trial of Greg Burroughs continues in Franklin County Monday morning.
Burroughs, of Laurel, is charged with manslaughter in the shooting death of his then-girlfriend 23-year-old Katherine Sinclair. Burroughs claims Sinclair shot herself.
On day five of the trial, lead investigator Sgt. Micheal Reeves of the Laurel Police Department took the stand and testified that Sinclair had five glasses of wine at a dinner prior to the shooting and Burroughs had five beers. Jurors learned on Wednesday that autopsy results showed Sinclair had a blood alcohol content of .195 the night of her death.
Today, Reeves is expected to take the stand to finish his testimony.
