PINE BELT (WDAM) - Those of us fortunate enough to live in the Pine Belt have access to a variety of activities that your entire family can enjoy. With Spring just weeks away, perhaps it is time to enjoy some quality family time engaging in some of the many activities available to us.

Nearly everyone enjoys a visit to the zoo, and the Hattiesburg Zoo is excellent.  For those who enjoy museums, we have several options including the Armed Forces Museum, the African American Military History Museum and the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art.

For outdoor enthusiasts, try a picnic at the Paul B. Johnson State Park or Little Black Creek or even an outing at the Longleaf Trace.

Sports fans can take in a college baseball game at USM or William Carey. In addition, there are a variety of cultural events offered at both colleges.

The entire Pine Belt area is full of fun, inexpensive, and varied activities to be enjoyed by everyone.

Consider This: Take part in activities in your community and spend some quality time with your family members. Enjoy the beautiful weather and fun offerings the Pine Belt has to offer.
