Gladney makes one last push for votes

PINE BELT (WDAM) - Candidates are making their last-ditch effort to rally votes.

Mark Gladney addressed voters during a news conference Monday morning.
The democrat is running for Congress in Mississippi's 4th Congressional District and he is hoping to unseat incumbent Steven Palazzo.

"The best predictor of future performance is past performance and I will put my record of character up against anyone's especially Steven Palazzo," Gladney said. "I don't know anything but public service. From the time I was 17 years old I left and tried to serve my nation and my country and I'm asking to do that now."

Gladney said, "Steven Palazzo does not represent the voters of this district he hasn't...he represents large businesses. I, on the other hand, want to represent everyone especially our veterans and senior citizens."

Besides Palazzo, Gladney needs to be beat out Libertarian Richard McCluskey and Independent Shawn O'Hara.

The 4th district covers 14 counties including Forrest, Jones, Lamar, Marion, Perry and Wayne.
