MARION COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Two men are behind bars and facing multiple charges after a traffic stop in Marion County.

Brandford Booth,38, a/k/a "Tiny Tim" of Bassfield, and Jermaine Cowart , 40, of Florence were arrested Wednesday evening after a routine traffic stop on Duncan Road in the Kokomo Community.

During the traffic stop authorities uncovered 4 lbs of spice and a weapon according to Marion County Task Force officials.

Both suspects are charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Officers with the Marion County Sheriff's Department and members of the Marion County Narcotics Task Force worked together in the recovery of the weapon and spice.

Both suspects were booked in to the Marion-Walthall County Correctional Facility.
