Fire destroys vacant home in Hattiesburg

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A vacant home was destroyed by a fire in Hattiesburg Friday morning.
The fire broke out around noon in the 1000 block of Vernon Street.
The Hattiesburg fire department was dispatched, and quickly extinguished the flames.
No injuries were reported, and the investigation as to how the fire started is ongoing.
