Gov. Bryant to leave Friday for GOP convention
HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Gov. Phil Bryant is preparing to lead the Mississippi delegation at the Republican National Covention in Tampa next week. They'll leave for Florida on Friday.
But Tuesday night, Bryant was in Hattiesburg to give the keynote address at the 2nd annual William Carey University Endowed Scholarship Dinner at Southern Oaks House and Gardens.
"We're looking forward to a very good, exciting convention, where Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan come out as our official team," Bryant said. "Probably Wednesday night during the roll call, we'll dedicate our delegate votes to the Romney-Ryan team, so it's going to be very exciting," he said.
William Carey University is creating an endowed scholarship to honor Gov. Bryant.
