HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Brett Favre is expected to be named offensive coordinator at Oak Grove High School in Lamar County in Hattiesburg for this upcoming football season.

Lamar County School Superintendent Ben Burnett said he "could not comment on personnel matters", but did say the school board would meet Monday night.

Head Coach Nevil Barr said no official decision has been made, but he does plan to meet with Favre next week.

Favre' agent, Bus Cook, told a reporter at the Sun Herald that Favre was definitely taking the job and that it would "give him something to do."

Brett Favre is a three-time NFL MVP and former Southern Miss quarterback who lives in the Hattiesburg area and often assists the Oak Grove High School football team when in town.
