Will Polston

Multimedia Journalist

Moselle, MS

Will Polston is a weekday reporter and weekend producer for WDAM. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a B.A. in Mass Communications.

Throughout my time in college, I hosted two radio shows, one talk show and one sports show and was the Play-By-Play Commentator for our University’s athletic programs. I had the privilege to travel to commentate games and call a few record-breaking moments in school and conference history.

Also, I had a class in which we produced a mini newscasts called “Florida Focus” for WEDQ in Tampa, FL. Throughout my time there, I had the honor to direct, produce and anchor newscasts. I love being in news, for it gives me the opportunity to bring light to people or situations that may otherwise be overlooked. There is nothing more rewarding for me than helping others or portraying others in positive light with a story.

Outside of work, I host and produce a YouTube exclusive podcast titled “GMs 4 Hire” in which three other broadcasting students and myself talk sports. Feel free to check it out and follow my other social medias to keep up with my stories!
