Scott was born and raised in Miami, FL. Although he’s a little way from his hometown, he has absolutely embraced the Pine Belt culture and is excited to make Hattiesburg his new home.
From the age of nine, Scott knew he wanted to work in Sports and engage audiences. Always looking for ways to practice, he remembers constantly standing in front of the television emulating his favorite sports anchors.
“I remember I would constantly do my own pre and post-game shows whenever I’d get ready to play a game of Madden or MLB on my PlayStation. My favorite thing in the world growing up was watching other teams highlights and listening to how similar or different their announcers were. I picked and grabbed things that I loved to hear from them.”
Looking to find an edge, Scott even started doing theatre in high school to prepare himself for what it would be like to perform.
After high school, Scott earned his bachelor’s degree at Full Sail University’s Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting in Winter Park, FL. It was there where his instructors helped him reach his growing potential. While at Full Sail, Scott worked as the play-by-play broadcaster for Rollins College baseball, while also appearing as the lead sports Anchor and reporter for Full Sail’s student programming.
When he’s not watching sports (which is rarely), you’ll be able to find Scott at his favorite restaurants, going on shopping sprees, and struggling on the golf course!
If you ever see him around town, feel free to drop by and say hello. You can even ask him about his chicken allergy!
