Nick Ducote

Multimedia Journalist

Jackson, MS

Born and raised in New Orleans, Nick traded in his Saints season tickets to cover local news in the metro. A fair trade in his opinion. He’s a multimedia journalist that loves covering all stories, big or small. Politics, Sports, Business, he loves covering them all. He shoots, and writes all his stories all on his own.

Nick joins WLBT after being a weekend sports producer at WWL in New Orleans. He grew up watching SEC football where he fell in love with the drama in sports. The 2002 Blue Grass Miracle, where LSU beat Kentucky off a Hail Mary pass was the game that caught his attention. Playing football in the Big Easy, and watching it on Saturdays and Sundays inspired him to become a journalist. Nick has been with WLBT since November 2018, where he’s covered news and sports.

His passion is soccer, and good food. If you know of any good restaurants, please let him know. He and his girlfriend, Allie, are foodies.
