Mia Monet was born and raised in New Orleans, La. It was there at a young age that she discovered her love for journalism by watching New Orleans legends such as Sally-Ann Roberts and the late Nancy Parker.

Mia is a spring 2020 graduate of the illustrious Tuskegee University where she majored in communications and focused on broadcast journalism. During her time at Tuskegee, she served as Chief of Staff for the Student Government’s official Media Team, while also being very involved in other extracurricular activities.

Since graduating, she worked as a production assistant onset of a Walt Disney production. During her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, finding new recipes to cook and spending time with her family and friends.
