Blake Brannon was born and raised in Panama City, Florida, and started his career as a reporter and producer at WJHG/WECP in Panama City Beach in 2017.
He joins the WLOX team as a Weekend Sports Anchor/MMJ and is excited to stay on the Gulf Coast.
While at WJHG he worked in news and sports and covered everything from an active shooter situation, Category 5 Hurricane Michael, as well as the COVID-19 Pandemic. He also won a Florida AP award for his coverage of Hurricane Michael in 2018.
Blake comes from a family of football coaches and is an avid fan of the Florida State Seminoles. In his free time, you can find him playing music, catching a movie, or taking a breather on the beach.
