PINE BELT (WDAM) - On and off showers will continue to drift through the Pine Belt this afternoon and evening. Temperatures will ease back into the 60s after sundown and into the 50s overnight. Rain may be heavy at times, but it looks like all of the steady rain is helping to keep the severe weather threat limited.
Into the weekend another system is set to glide through with a pretty decent shot for rain through the weekend. Temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s with the best chance for rain on Sunday. Right now, it looks like a 40% chance for rain Saturday and an 80% chance on Sunday. Sunday may also feature a brief window for severe weather with the SPC highlighting our area with a Marginal Risk for severe storms.
Behind that, it looks like some much cooler air will settle into the area for a few days. With lows in the 20s and 30s and highs in the 50s.
