JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A Capitol staffer has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Speaker of the House Philip Gunn said lawmakers will need to take additional precautions now.
House members are dispersed throughout the building with assigned rooms.
Some members will be in the chamber, but not everyone will be.
They are adjusting the debate and voting protocol to allow time for members who aren’t in the chamber to speak on bills, if necessary.
