Suspect wanted for shooting at Hattiesburg nightclub early Saturday morning

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The Hattiesburg Police Department issued an arrest warrant for a person involved in a shooting at Roper’s Rockin’ Country Saturday.

Isaiah Booth, 30, of Seminary, is wanted for aggravated assault in the shooting that left one male injured.

Hattiesburg Police Department spokesman Ryan Moore said officers responded to a report of a possible shooting at the nightclub around 1:30 a.m.

Moore said one man was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

After further investigation, police say the suspect is not related to the victim; however, the suspect is related to another suspect whose name is not being released at this time as their charges are pending.

The incident is still isolated since it was an altercation between the victim and the suspect.
