HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Hundreds of students at William Carey University have graduated in six ceremonies in Hattiesburg this week.
Three ceremonies were held during the day Saturday. Another was held Saturday night for students from WCU’s Tradition Campus.
Other commencements were held on Thursday and Friday nights.
Among the speakers Saturday, was Vermester Bester, one of the first African-American students to graduate from the university in 1969.
