PINE BELT (WDAM) - Saturday will be a mainly dry day. Keep those outdoor plans, just keep an eye tot he sky. Increasing clouds will offer up the chance for a wayward shower or storm in the late afternoon and evening. The chance for rain is around 20 percent, so there is an 80 percent chance you stay dry. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.
Sunday there will be a better chance for rain. Highs will be in the mid 80s under a mostly cloudy sky. Rain chances will be around 60 percent. And while storms will be possible, severe weather looks unlikely. As does flooding, thankfully.
By Monday there will be a few lingering showers still trying to stick around, but once they move out, the heat gets turned up.
Tuesday through Friday of next week will be warm and dry. Highs will be in the 90s with no real good chance for rain.
Beyond that, things stay warm and generally dry for another five days before our weather pattern shifts into the everyday-there-is-a-chance-for-storms pattern.
