Jurassic Adventure educates kids about dinosaurs

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - If you’re looking to take a trip back in time, Jurassic Adventure is the place for you.

“Kids get to learn about dinosaurs from what they were in the past," said General Manager David Elgika. “It’s presented to the future in a prehistoric way. Kids get to come and read about them, see how they move, roar, breathe and just a whole bunch of other activities they get to do as well."

This event travels across the country educating kids about dinosaurs. There are more than 50 robotic dinosaurs on display, face painting, bounce houses, virtual reality centers and so much more. Kids are even able to ride the prehistoric creatures.

“We travel city to city and state to state. We want to make sure that when kids learn about something and hear about something, they will definitely get to see dinosaurs,” Elgika said.

Managers of the exhibit say this event brings out the kid in everyone.

“We figured this is like a dream come true when they actually learn about it, and they’re never going to get to see something that they are learning about. We bring it out. Who doesn’t love dinosaurs? Everybody loves dinosaurs. I’m a big kid myself so everybody loves dinosaurs,” Elgika said.

Jurassic Adventure will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Forrest County Multipurpose Center in Hattiesburg.

Tickets are $24 for adults and $29 for kids.
