Four men charged after Hattiesburg shooting
Donzedrick Smith (top right) was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit a felony. Lacedrick Perryman (top left) was arrested and with two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony, conspiracy to sale a controlled substance, and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance. Terrance Mujahid (bottom left) was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Memphis, and charged with two counts of aggravated assault. Deontrae Barnes (bottom right) was arrested and charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony, conspiracy to sale a controlled substance, and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance.

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Four men are behind bars following a recent shooting in the city of Hattiesburg.

Hattiesburg Police Department spokesman Ryan Moore said police responded to a report of shots fired on West 4th Street on Sunday, April 28, 2019, around 6:40 p.m.

When officers arrived, the individuals involved had fled the scene. Moore said no injuries were reported.

As the investigation went on, police learned that the shooting was over a drug deal.

Donzedrick Smith, 27, of Hattiesburg, was arrested on April 29, 2019, and charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.

Lacedrick Perryman, 19, of Hattiesburg, was arrested on April 30, 2019, and charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony, conspiracy to sale a controlled substance, and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance.

Terrance Mujahid, 25, of Memphis, was arrested on May 3, 2019, by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Memphis, and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

Deontrae Barnes, 20, of Hattiesburg, was arrested on May 5, 2019, and charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony, conspiracy to sale a controlled substance, and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance.
