HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -Dozens of classic cars and hot rods will be on the Forrest County Campus of Pearl River Community College this Saturday for a first-ever benefit car show.

It’s organized by students in the National Technical Honor Society.

It’s $20 to enter.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the judging starts at 10 o’clock.

The cars will be located behind the campus Allied Health Center.

“(The goal is) bringing people in from the public, to make them aware of some of the career and technical education opportunities that are available at the college for people who may want to come here," said David Collum, chair of the Department of Career and Technical Education Programs at PRCC’s Forrest County Campus.

“We’re going to have categories in classic, modern, imports, motorcycles, trucks, so we’re going to have several different categories.”

A $250 scholarship will also be presented that day.
