HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - U.S. District Judge Keith Starrett sentenced a Hattiesburg man Wednesday man to 20 years in prison for drug trafficking.
Miguel McCallum, 43, must serve 240 months in federal prison followed by 10 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Mike Hurst. McCallum must also pay a $25,000 fine.
DEA agents learned McCallum was distributing methamphetamine in the Hattiesburg area and executed a search warrant at his home on May 9, 2018. Agents seized three firearms and approximately 3 pounds of marijuana.
A second search led to the discovery of 142.8 grams of meth.
