MIZE, MS (WLBT) - Monday night, two Dollar Generals were robbed at gunpoint. One of the stores was in Mize, Mississippi and the second was less than 30 minutes away in Soso, Mississippi.
The break in at the Mize store happened just after the store closed at 10:00 p.m.
According to Smith County Sheriff Charlie Crumpson, a masked man in a hoodie shot out the front glass door, went inside and held the two female employees at gunpoint.
He got out with an undetermined amount of cash from the register.
Surveillance video shows a driver outside in a getaway car.
35 minutes before this armed robbery, the store in Soso was robbed. The employees at this store were also robbed at gunpoint.
Officials have reason to believe the two suspects who entered that Dollar General were the same men who robbed the store in Mize.
