HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Dozens of deserving children will get to go to summer camp this year thanks to Keith’s Superstores and many of its customers.

Keith’s presented the Muscular Distrophy Association of Mississippi with nearly $87,000 on Thursday morning. The money was raised during Keith’s annual Shamrock Campaign. The funds will also be used for research and to assist with MDA care centers.

“They spend the entire month of March raising funds for families in local areas, from the Pine Belt area all the way to the coast to serve families that live with neuro-muscular diseases,” said Ellie Denman, development director at MDA Mississippi.

Denman said the funds raised will send more than 40 children to summer camp.
