JCSD: Two men wanted in connection to armed robbery, assault

JASPER COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department needs the public’s help locating two men connected to an armed robbery and assault. The incident happened on Jan. 2 on Hwy. 11 near Heidelberg, according to Sheriff Randy Johnson.

Authorities have arrested two in connection to the incident on charges of aggravated assault, armed robbery and kidnapping. Daiquin Chrishoun Hayes was arrested on Jan. 4 while Shaquan Kadavion Graham was arrested and booked into the Jasper County Jail on Jan. 7 and later released on Jan. 9.

Johnson says “some of the men knew the guy they were robbing.” He adds that the men used duct tape and kicked and beat the victim. They also held his girlfriend at gunpoint. The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of money, authorities say.

The victim was treated at South Central Regional Medical Center for his injuries and released.

Eighteen-year-old Elijah Tyon Thomas, of Heidelberg, and 20-year-old Bobby Stevens Jr., of Newton, are still wanted. Anyone with information on their whereabouts should contact the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department at (601) 764- 2588.
