HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Forrest General Hospital announced that President Andy Woodard will assume the additional role as CEO upon the retirement of Evan Dillard.
Dillard is stepping down from the role after a decade. Woodard will replace him beginning in January 2019, according to a Forrest General news release.
“I am honored to continue serving Forrest Health as president and CEO and grateful for the time Evan spent with me this past year,” said Woodard. “I look forward to the coming years and building upon the great legacy of my predecessors with the Forrest Health team and the Pine Belt communities we serve.”
Dillard began at Forrest General in 2008 and has worked in various healthcare leadership positions in Alabama and Florida. Forrest General said he has worked closely with Woodard over the past 17 months to ensure a smooth transition.
“My time at Forrest Health has been a true capstone to my career in healthcare,” said Dillard. “I am so proud of the team that we have built and the unmatched care we provide our patients every day. It has been a joy to watch this organization grow to what it is today. I worked closely with Andy over the past year leading up to this transition, and I predict he will take Forrest Health to new heights as its new leader.”
