Armed Robbery at Check Express in Hattiesburg

Hattiesburg Police are investigating the armed robbery of the Check Express on Hardy Street

On February 11, 2009 around 2:30 pm, Hattiesburg police responded to Check Express, located in the 6000 block of Hardy Street, in reference to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned that a black male entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cashier. After attempting to disarm the subject the suspect fled the scene on foot headed east towards the Kohl's parking lot.

The suspect was described as a black male in his early teens, about 5'3" and about 100 lbs. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a blue collar and blue jean pants. The suspect was wearing a stocking over his face when he entered the store. No money was taken and no one was injured during the incident.
