Three missing Lawrence County men believed dead

LAWRENCE COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - After four days of searching, three missing Lawrence County men have been found dead.

A family member discovered the Nissan Altima they were traveling in submerged in a swollen creek off of Highway 27 in Copiah County just south of Rockport, about 18 miles from their hometown and 50 miles from the concert they had departed from.

Three bodies were discovered inside the vehicle. Autopsies have yet to be conducted, but authorities believe they are that of Justin Middlebrook, 22, Isaiah Tucker, 20 and Timothy Young, 23.
Emergency crews arrived on the scene around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Copiah County Sheriff's officials and Hinds Emergency Management used a boat to help attach cables to the car and tow the vehicle out of the water.

The three young men were believed to be returning from a Jackson night club to Lawrence County when they went missing early Friday morning.
