A Jones County man died early this morning in a fire at his mobile home in the northwestern part of the county. Officials have not yet released his name, but they say he was middle-aged, and was discovered by firefighters in the bedroom of his burned-out Hillcrest Road home in the Hebron Community around 8 a.m.
They say the fire, which began a couple of hours earlier, may have started in the kitchen area. They also say the blaze appears to be an accident.
