Hattiesburg Police are looking for a man who forced 2 residents to give him money from their bank ATM machines at gunpoint last night. Police say the suspect approached 2 victims at the Hardy Manor Apartments on North 33rd Avenue, showed them a handgun and forced them to drive to 2 banks located just a block away.
The robber made one victim withdraw cash from the Hancock Bank automated teller machine and made the other victim withdraw money from the Hattiesburg-Laurel Federal Credit Union ATM across the street. He then forced them to drive back to their apartment and made them lie on the floor while he fled on foot.
The suspect is described as a stocky-built, black male. Police say he wore blue jeans, a dark sweater and a skull cap.
