2 workers accused of abusing nursing home patients

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Authorities say two nursing home workers

have been arrested, including one accused of pouring after shave on

a patient's genitals.

Attorney General Jim Hood said Friday the women worked at

Graceland Care Center in New Albany.

A woman who answered the phone Friday at the facility refused to

give her name and said no one was available to discuss the matter.

She didn't know if the nurses had lawyers.

Cynthia Hunt of New Albany was charged with felony abuse of a

vulnerable adult.

Hood accuses 46-year-old Hunt of "pouring after shave on the

genitals of a patient" and administering medication that caused

pain.

The other worker, 59-year-old Kathy Brooks of Blue Mountain, is

accused of taking medication meant for patients.

Working phone numbers for the women could not be located.
