JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Caterers and restaurant owners in Jackson
say they don't see any drop in the demand for holiday parties. Many
say they're surprised.
Michael Harvey, co-owner of Magnolias Catering and Fine Foods in
Clinton, says his business is just about the same as last year's.
And even though people are dining out less, Jeff Good says that
Monday bookings for parties are pretty much full for Bravo! Italian
Restaurant and Sal & Mookie's, where he's co-owner.
And he says catering operations for the restaurants and Broad
Street Baking Co. could be the best ever.
Harvey says it may be that office parties are such an important
goodwill gesture that companies are willing to spend a bit for
