5 arrested in alleged Lumberton rape

Four men and a teenager are in jail in Lamar County in connection with the alleged rape of a Lumberton woman.  In custody are 18-year-old Marcus Creel and 20-year-old Chad Magee.

They along with a 14-year-old are charged with rape.  Two other suspects, 20-year-old Tony Clark and 18-year-old Richard Sandifer, face conspiracy to commit rape charges.

Lamar County Sheriff Danny Rigel says the alleged rape happened at the victim's Lumberton residence.  He also says Lumberton Police originally began the investigation, but his office took it over at the victim's request.
