Bind set for Hattiesburg man charged with murder

Bond is now set at $750,000 for a Hattiesburg man charged with murder.

Roy Page, 33, made his first appearance in court Friday afternoon where judge Jolly Matthews set bond and told Page he would be given a court-appointed attorney.

Page was arrested Wednesday night for allegedly shooting Ray Spillman, 34, of Hattiesburg in the head as he sat in his car at an intersection in east Hattiesburg.

Police said the suspect and the victim knew each other, but no motive has been released.
