Alicia Martin's Biggest Loser Blog - Nov. 3

So, it's been a while since my last blog. Things have been really busy at school right now and it seems like every minute of my day is totally booked. Since my lasy blog I lost 2 lbs one week and 4 lbs the next. My total lost so far is about 33 lbs.

Even though the contest is calling this week 9, it's really only the 7th full week of the program because week 1 was when we first came in for the physical and we didn't get to come in until Wed. or Thurs. the next week because of Gustav and Labor Day. 33 lbs in  7 weeks is about 4.7 lbs per week, and that's not bad!

We have 3 more weeks and I am really shooting for the 50 lb mark. That's about 6 lbs per week. If I lose 4lbs a week I can get to 45 lbs lost.....so, I am really hoping to lose between 4 - 6 lbs for the next 3 weeks.  I am really excited to keep losing weight. If I can lose the 50 lbs, I'll be almost half way to my FINAL healthy goal weight.....I'm shooting for 165...that puts me into the "healthy" range on the BMI scale.

I have to say though that the pressure of this contest is really getting to me. Maybe it's just a self-imposed pressure, but I am REALLY looking forward to continuing my program without the pressure of weekly weigh-ins ( I HATE Thursday!) and stuff. It has been a good experience but I'm ready for a break from the pressure!

I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really want to win this thing,  And the top 3 of us are SOOO close in percentages! At this point a bad week can totally sink you.

I'd be cool with 1-2 lbs per week weight lost if this wasn't a contest!

I've really been trying to not wory about winning.....just enjoy the experience.....be proud of my weight loss....recognize that my cardiovascular health has greatly improved.....blah blah blah blah blah!

All that's true, but I want to WIN! Losing stinks! I pray every night ,not that I win, but that God helps me see the lesson to be learned from this experience whether I win or lose.
