U.S.M. football player jailed for burglary

A Southern Miss football player has been arrested for stealing electronics from a Hattiesburg home.  21-year-old Torris Magee has been charged with residential burglary.

Hattiesburg Police say Magee was taken into custody behind the Concorde Apartments on 38th Avenue around 1:30 a.m.  They say he had just stolen cell phones and other items from a home next door during a gathering.

Magee is a redshirt sophomore wide receiver on the Golden Eagle football team.
