State Auditor Stacey Pickering is preparing to release results of his investigation of the interim president of Mississippi State University and the director of the state College Board.
Pickering's office says he will hold a news conference Thursday afternoon in Hattiesburg.
The auditor has been looking into allegations that MSU workers and equipment were used to landscape the yard of College Board director Thomas Meredith.
Meredith has been on paid leave since the allegations surfaced last month.
Vance Watson, the university's interim president, also was being investigated.
Watson is seeking the permanent presidency at the university in Starkville. The College Board hopes to fill the job soon.
