The director of PRCC's physical plant department has been placed on administrative leave, with pay, until after his federal trial on Katrina related fraud. The junior colleges board of trustees took the action today against Clint Tapper at their regular board meeting in Poplarville. Tapper faces a December first federal trial following his arrest earlier this month by agents from the state auditors office. Tapper is accused of three Katrina related grants totaling 200,000 dollars in connection with a home repair fraud in Hancock county. PRCC officials say the charges are personal and had nothing to do with the school. Tapper will remain on administrative leave until December 9th, when the board will reconsider his status.
