I lost a pound…. A POUND…. A POUND……… So unhappy, but at least I didn’t gain (yeah, right!) I am not cool with this… I have to lose an average of 3 lbs a week to make my goal of 35 before the end of the 12 week contest and a pound is not going to cut it.  I know I had that weakness with Wendy’s but A pound?!?!

Things are good and I am so, so gonna start working out twice a day (Caleb says that is a good way to jumpstart the metabolism early in the morning…to break up the 2 hour workout into two 1 hour workouts.)  I have this totally in my mind and was really gonna get that going, but I had to go home this weekend and you know how hard a break in the routine (what little routine I have) is…. I did exercise though! I was proud of that. I walked a mile each day in less than 20 minutes.  I am not sure the exact time because I was yakking with my friend, but I was happy to at least get something done, because weekends kill me!

I didn’t get in my two a day, but I tried.  I actually set my alarm for me and my boyfriend to go running and I got up when it went off, but then he rolled over and talked me out of it…. Uhhhh, I have to be strong, but mornings are so my weakness (mornings, and weekends, and sweets and fried foods, and all foods J Could go on forever there). I did work out today, but it wasn’t as good as it usually is, my routine is getting tired.  I spent 30 minutes on the Elliptical because Caleb said that some of the other contestants could and I just couldn’t let them beat me, right?  I almost couldn’t walk by then J OH, and I found out that I have been getting my heart rate a little um, too high LOL I think everybody just freaked out when they saw my blog!  It wasn’t like I was killing myself, but I think I was giving it undue stress, to put it lightly.

So I went to the coast today and rushed back so I could get some time in at the gym, only had a little over an hour L, but I made the most of it with upping my cardio as much as I could.  I saw three other contestants at the gym and Alicia, Yolanda and I all worked out on the Elliptical for at least 30 minutes.  I think Alicia went for the whole hour (YOU GO GIRL!), what a powerhouse, my legs were HURTING at the end…

I finally did a two a day!!!  YAY! I just shut out all the excuses (cause I have tons) and did it.  So I went to the Abs class that Cris led this morning and I really got a new kind of workout. She showed me some different moves that could help with my core. I have a really weak one, terrible posture, big spare tire, etc.  It was a challenge to say the least… whew, my abs hurt afterward, but I got on the bike and did 20 minutes to get my cardio in.  THEN, at 5:30 I went to the LiveWell Center and did a really cool cardioboxing class with Jennifer. She is so neat! I didn’t even realize that almost an hour had passed until she cooled us down.  I have never been so distracted when working out.  I really, really liked it.  She was telling me about the water aerobics classes on Tuesday and Thursdays and I am going to try and make it from now on.  There is my Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon workouts J  I am so ready for this weigh-in tomorrow. I feel really good about it. I ate a grilled chicken leg and corn on the cob for dinner and I really feel like I have lost at least 3 lbs.  I have to have lost 3.5 to catch up to the rate I need, but I will be happy with just three.
