Second teen sentenced in Hattiesburg High School arson case

The second of two teens accused of burning down the old Hattiesburg High School in 2007 was sentenced Tuesday.

Jordan Poole, 17, will spend 7 years in prison and three years probation for helping start the fire that destroyed the historic landmark in May of 2007.

He pleaded guilty to one count of burglary and one count of second degree arson. Mikhael Powell, 19, pleaded guilty to arson charges and was also sentenced to 7 years in prison, and three years probation.
