Laurel bank robbed

Employees at Central Sunbelt Federal Credit Union on Sawmill Road in Laurel reported a robbery this morning.

A white male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, walked into the bank about 8:45 a.m. and handed a teller a note claiming he had a gun and demanded money.

Employees complied, but said there was no weapon visible.

The man left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Authorities are still searching for him and urge anyone with information to contact the Laurel Police Department.
