Marshals apprehend one of Mississippi's most wanted

U.S. Marshals have arrested in Illinois one of Lamar County's most wanted criminals.

Al Ricky Edwards, also known as "Thunder," was apprehended Tuesday by marshals in Springfield.

Lamar county officials received a tip Edwards was in the area and notified federal authorities. Edwards was wanted for attempted robbery, aggravated assault, obstructing justice, and other charges.

During the search for Edwards, authorities said he should be considered armed and dangerous. Lamar County deputies will travel to Illinois next week to transport the fugitive back to Mississippi.
