Marion County woman receives 20 years for manslaughter

A Marion County Woman has been ordered to spend the next 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to DUI manslaughter.

Judge Prentiss Harrell handed down the sentence for Aimee Bracy Porter, 28, who pleaded guilty in April to DUI manslughter and DUI mayhem.

Porter was driving a vehicle that collided with another car in 2006, killing 5-year-old Alyssa Riley of Lumberton, and severly injuring her mother, Carmen.

In addition to prison time, porter will be under 20 years of post-release supervision.

She was also ordered to make restitution to the Riley family in the amount of $149,000.
