184 graduate from YCP Class XXVIII

Nearly 200 former high school drop-outs from across Mississippi are now ready to successfully enter the workforce, the armed forces or college, thanks to the National Guard's Youth Challenge Program.

184 students from Class-XXVIII of Youth Challenge graduated this morning at the Forrest County Multi-Purpose Center in Hattiesburg.

Youth Challenge is a 22-week, military-style intervention program for at-risk youth at Camp Shelby.

It gives students a chance to earn their GED or learn vocational skills.

Since 1994, more than 5,400 former drop-outs have graduated from Youth Challenge in Mississippi.
