Police looking for carjacking suspects

Hattiesburg Police are searching for two suspects who carjacked a 1999 Ford Expedition early Saturday morning.  Officers say they stole the vehicle around 4 a.m. from a couple who were at the Dandy Dan's convenience store at 4400 Hardy Street.

The victims say one suspect, described as a black male in his mid-20's, approached them, displayed a gun and demanded the vehicle.  They say another suspect, also a black male, was standing by in a 1990's blue, box-style Olds Cutlass.

The first suspect drove their vehicle away headed north on Westover Drive.  They say the second suspect followed him.

The victim's vehicle is a blue-purple color.

Police say the first suspect was 5', 10" and weighed 165 pounds.  He had a small Afro haircut and a thin beard and was wearing a white T-shirt and dark jeans.

Officers say the second suspect wore a black baseball cap.

No one was injured in the incident.
