Vigil held for murdered Foxworth woman

About 20 people gathered in front of the Marion County Courthouse in Columbia Thursday to hold a candlelight vigil in remembrance of Tonya Stogner, 38, who was shot to death last month in her home in Foxworth.

Ronald Plummer, 30, of Collins was also shot to death and Stogner's husband, Herschel, was wounded.

Authorities arrested Terrell Bass, 56, who apparently had gone to the Stogner's house looking for his estranged wife.

Stogner's mother said the vigil will help keep her daughter's memory alive.

Bass is being held in the Marion County Jail without bond awaiting action by the grand jury.
