Sleep Study Information

Researchers at Southern Miss are currently conducting a survey to determine the importance of sleep to children.

The study is being done on 4 and 5-year-olds and it takes about two weeks for the research to be gathered.

The child wears a small device called an acti-graph on his or her wrist, like a watch. The acti-graph measures the amount of movement the child makes throughout the day and while sleeping. Researchers are currently seeking more children to participate in the studies.

Interested parents of 4 or 5-year-olds can sign up during Mayfest - Saturday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Hattiesburg High School.
