Tickets are now on sale for Pine Belt Ballet's Spring Gala, "A Tribute to the 19th Century Romantic Era". The May 3, 7:30 pm., and May 4, 2:00 p.m. performances at Petal Performing Arts Center will showcase Senior Company dancers re-enacting the 1845 classic "Pas de Quatre" and an excerpt from the 1846 ballet "Paquita" featuring alumni Annie Cannon and Drake Hathorne, both currently dancing in professional ballet companies.The Junior Company dancers and Apprentices will perform "Hansel & Gretel", an original ballet set to the 1870 music of Delibes by artistic director Yvonne Bergeron. The Farmers Market will return to downtown Hattiesburg Thursday. This is the 15th year of the market, traditionally held at Town Square Park. Jeff the wallaby is still hopping around Hattiesburg.
