Grade school students compete at USM in Science Olympiad

Junior high and high school students from around the state visited The University of Southern Mississippi Friday for a day of competition and learning.

The Science Olympiad featured 22 teams of students competing in various science-related activities, all hoping for a chance to attend a national competition in Washington DC.

Special entertainment was also offered to the students in the form of interesting inventions and experiments.

Twice as many students participated in this years' olympiad than in last.
